Hi, I’m Natalie. I’m qualified to teach all things that Sanctuary offers (after all Sanctuary is my baby!).

I have been teaching fitness & wellbeing classes for over 25 years including Pilates & Yoga. I bring together my past experience as a professional dancer and my work in the fitness industry to deliver varied, knowledgeable sessions.

Do you have neck, back, knee or any other issues? My wealth of experience means I can adapt any exercise to suit you, making Yoga & Pilates accessible to all.

I pride myself on attention to detail, making sure each client gets an exercise session specifically prescribed for them.

Hi, I’m Julie. I’ve been involved in fitness and sports for most of my life, and became the British Rhythmic Gymnastic Champion in 1983. After teaching and coaching in the USA for 21 years, I am now loving being back home, continuing to teach and learn.

Movement is my passion, and I am grateful to be able to share this with you. I am committed to helping you find the best version of yourself, whether you wish to be stronger, healthier, or more mobile.

I’ll tailor our sessions to fit your specific needs, focusing on building not only physical wellbeing, but also mental wellbeing, as both are equally important.

Our Classes

Aerial

AERIAL YOGA Using hammocks we will combine Yoga postures, Pilates exercises & dance moves...(however we will not be dancing). Beginners and workout junkies will love this class. All exercises are performed with the aid of the hammock and you will leave feeling taller, stronger & more playful....you might even go upside down.

Ashtanga Yoga

ASHTANGA YOGA was founded by Pattabhi Jois and is not for the faint hearted. If you are looking for a demanding Yoga class that is going to challenge you physically then this is the one for you.

Yoga

Traditional Yoga moves working on strength, flexibility, balance & breath which will leave you feeling energised. Each class is different.

Hatha Yoga

Bring peace to the mind and body with this traditional yoga practice. The class consists of asanas (postures) & pranayama (breathing exercises). This class is a great stress reliever and improves strength and stamina of both mind & body.

Mandala Flow

Mandala Vinyasa yoga is a practice that works towards a firm intention and is established on the four elements that bring connection between you and each of the Elements in the Universe – Earth, Water, Fire and Air. Connect to nature and the elements within you, as we move in circles, 360° around the mat. Find a deep introspective state by synchronising movement and breath, with seamless transitions, and maybe a sneaky arm balance or inversion thrown in there too!

Core

A whole 30 minutes dedicated to your abdominals and back. Ideal to slot in to your busy schedule.

Dance Aerobics

This is a movement class combining aerobics with dance. With music in the background this class will leave you feeling good and energised ready for the rest of your day.

Legs, Bums, Tums

Want to strengthen and tone your legs, glutes & abdominals? Who doesn't, right? Well, this class is as the name suggests - strength and conditioning training for all those areas. Come and give it a go!

Pilates

PILATES was created by Joseph H Pilates in the early 20th century. It works core strength, flexibility, balance and posture. It helps to re-align the body whilst strengthening the stabilising muscles of the body.

Stretch & Relax

STRETCH & RELAX Lengthen, re-align, improve your posture and balance. Working with our breath we will stretch for 45 mins with lying or standing exercises before relaxing for a wonderful 15 minutes.

Tai Chi

TAI CHI originates from ancient China and was originally developed as a martial art. Flowing movements are combined with deep breathing & relaxation making it gentle on the joints.

Trigger Point

This class takes Pilate’s core moves and applies clinical Myofascial principles to help alleviate chronic pain conditions. The class is designed to release tight muscles and enhance functional daily movement, and restructure the body. Equipment is used to release and re align the body.

Barre

Pilates, Yoga, dance moves and functional exercises are combined with the barre to give you this fun workout. Our sessions are energising, hard on muscles and easy on joints.

Yin Yoga

YIN YOGA is a deep practice that encourages the body to relax rather than engage. In this practice we focus on releasing the connective tissue “fascia” to create range of motion in our joints and muscles by targeting ligaments, bones and joints. Yin generally targets the hips, lower back and legs.

Vinyasa

VINYASA ( translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. The Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures and some more challenging postures as well as focusing on the power of breath awareness.

Relax & Unwind

A class to unwind the body and calm the mind. Traditional yoga postures combined with breath & relaxation to leave you feeling lengthened, stretched & peaceful.

Wow ! Love this place! The atmosphere is sooo nice. You feel calm and relaxed as soon as you enter ! It smells amazing! The girls are so lovely and welcoming! Felt very comfortable straight away!
The building all looks really new and really clean. All the equipment is spotless which makes such a difference! The class rooms are really nice.
I have recently had a baby via c section the girls was so through making sure I had gone for all my checks with the GP etc (which I had), and they took really good care of me. They adapted parts of the class for me and checked on me throughout. I can’t wait to see myself develop. They were So professional and I felt in safe hands.
Totally fallen in love with aerial yoga!!!!!
