Hi, I’m Natalie. I’m qualified to teach all things that Sanctuary offers (after all Sanctuary is my baby!).

I have been teaching fitness & wellbeing classes for over 25 years including Pilates & Yoga. I bring together my past experience as a professional dancer and my work in the fitness industry to deliver varied, knowledgeable sessions.

Do you have neck, back, knee or any other issues? My wealth of experience means I can adapt any exercise to suit you, making Yoga & Pilates accessible to all.

I pride myself on attention to detail, making sure each client gets an exercise session specifically prescribed for them.


Hey! I’m Lucy…

I combine my love of all things Yoga with my back ground in Health & Fitness to create a fun & freestyle vibe to my sessions.

I got Into yoga in 2016 when I was pregnant and it’s been a huge part of my life ever since!
My main qualifications are; Level 4 Diploma in Freestyle Yoga, Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training & Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology.

I like to focus on alignment & technique to improve the strength & health of joints. I look for ways to develop your body awareness so you can take what you learn on the mat into your daily lives and other activities.

I am always learning and developing in my own yoga practise by attending workshops & classes; so I can share my knowledge & keep my sessions fresh.

I currently teach Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings at Sanctuary.

Hello there, I’m Alison and I’m passionate about Yoga and Pilates, as both practices have had a hugely positive impact on my own personal health and wellbeing.  I trained as a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor in 2019 and the classes I teach are varied, with options for all levels, and have an equal focus on the core strength and stability, balance, co-ordination and flexibility.

I qualified as a 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Instructor in the same year and have since undertaken further advanced training in Yoga Philosophy, Sanskrit and Chanting.  I also have a keen interest in meditation and mindfulness.  My classes are designed to create space within the body and stillness in the mind and include Pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation and relaxation, alongside the Asana (our physical yoga practice).

One to one classes, in either Yoga or Pilates, can be tailored to meet your individual requirements – from gentle and relaxing to dynamic and challenging – and everything in between!


Hi, I’m Julie. I’ve been involved in fitness and sports for most of my life, and became the British Rhythmic Gymnastic Champion in 1983. After teaching and coaching in the USA for 21 years, I am now loving being back home, continuing to teach and learn.

Movement is my passion, and I am grateful to be able to share this with you. I am committed to helping you find the best version of yourself, whether you wish to be stronger, healthier, or more mobile.

I’ll tailor our sessions to fit your specific needs, focusing on building not only physical wellbeing, but also mental wellbeing, as both are equally important.

AERIAL YOGA Using hammocks we will combine Yoga postures, Pilates exercises & dance moves...(however we will not be dancing). Beginners and workout junkies will love this class. All exercises are performed with the aid of the hammock and you will leave feeling taller, stronger & more might even go upside down.

Ashtanga Yoga

ASHTANGA YOGA was founded by Pattabhi Jois and is not for the faint hearted. If you are looking for a demanding Yoga class that is going to challenge you physically then this is the one for you.

Barre / Barre & Core

Pilates, Yoga, dance moves and functional exercises are combined with the barre to give you this fun workout. Our sessions are energising, hard on muscles and easy on joints. If you attend the Barre & Core class we will finish with work away from the barre to challenge the core.

Dance Aerobics

This is a movement class combining aerobics with dance. With music in the background this class will leave you feeling good and energised ready for the rest of your day.

Hatha Yoga

Bring peace to the mind and body with this traditional yoga practice. The class consists of asanas (postures) & pranayama (breathing exercises). This class is a great stress reliever and improves strength and stamina of both mind & body.

Freestyle Fitness Yoga

FREESTYLE FITNESS YOGA is a contemporary approach to Yoga that mixes traditional yoga postures, stretches & balances with fitness principles. In Freestyle Fitness Yoga we concentrate on the physical aspect of Yoga rather than the spiritual.

Flexi Kids

For 5 - 10 year old boys and girls. Fun yoga poses to help with flexibility and concentration. Each term has a focus to help with mindfulness, balance, coordination and the practice of different yoga poses in a fun way. Guaranteed fun & smiles!

PILATES was created by Joseph H Pilates in the early 20th century. It works core strength, flexibility, balance and posture. It helps to re-align the body whilst strengthening the stabilising muscles of the body.

Stretch & Relax

STRETCH & RELAX Lengthen, re-align, improve your posture and balance. Working with our breath we will stretch for 45 mins with lying or standing exercises before relaxing for a wonderful 15 minutes.

Tai Chi

TAI CHI originates from ancient China and was originally developed as a martial art. Flowing movements are combined with deep breathing & relaxation making it gentle on the joints.

Trigger Point

This class takes Pilate’s core moves and applies clinical Myofascial principles to help alleviate chronic pain conditions. The class is designed to release tight muscles and enhance functional daily movement, and restructure the body. Equipment is used to release and re align the body.

VINYASA ( translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. The Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures and some more challenging postures as well as focusing on the power of breath awareness.

Yin Yoga

YIN YOGA is a deep practice that encourages the body to relax rather than engage. In this practice we focus on releasing the connective tissue “fascia” to create range of motion in our joints and muscles by targeting ligaments, bones and joints. Yin generally targets the hips, lower back and legs.

According to Eastern wisdom, everything is made of a balance of opposites - yin and yang. In this class we'll look at the concept of yin and yang in our minds, energy systems and bodies, enjoying a practice based on both.
